Buona Fortuna Lodge supports Lakeview Center’s crisis mental health care

Pensacola, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2025) – Buona Fortuna Lodge in Pensacola awarded Lakeview Center a $1,000 grant. This generous donation will help support crisis mental health needs from Escambia to Walton County – particularly Lakeview Center’s Mobile Response Team (MRT).

MRT offers 24/7 crisis intervention and support, providing telephone triage or coming to callers for in-person help at locations such as schools, emergency rooms, homes and other community settings. The team also ensures follow-up care to facilitate smooth transitions to the appropriate support services.

“This support helps us provide comprehensive mental health care for those in crisis,” said Autumn McAllister, director of emergency services at Lakeview Center and a member of Buona Fortuna Lodge. “The grant will directly impact our ability to support vulnerable children and families during incredibly challenging times.”

Last year, Lakeview Center provided critical services to more than 27,000 adults and children facing mental health and substance use challenges. As Northwest Florida’s most comprehensive behavioral health care provider, Lakeview Center aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need, and this grant will help continue this important work.

In addition to crisis support through the Mobile Response Team, Lakeview Center provides outpatient appointments, residential treatment and community-based care. Specialized caregivers visit homes to provide tailored services, overcoming barriers such as transportation and ensuring that no family is turned away due to an inability to pay. Lakeview Center is driven by a mission of “helping people,” offering compassionate and accessible care across the region.

In case of a mental health crisis, Lakeview Center’s Mobile Response Team (MRT) is available 24/7 to help over the phone or come to you in-person if needed. Serving Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties, MRT provides mental health crisis care and connection to follow-up treatment. Call 850-281-5334 or 866-517-7766.
